            This week and the one previous in the class were the presentation of our rough draft portfolio projects. There had been a good diversity between movies and magazines and I enjoyed seeing what others had to show, I believe that I provided a good amount of feedback to my fellow classmates. My magazine was received relatively well during my presentation, people like the idea and enjoy the art style which was what I was concerned about. Some feedback that I had received towards my magazine were that my feature article should be turned into two different paragraphs and that the font size of the feature article was too small, both will be addressed and fixed through going back into the InDesign software and making the changes. The black color of the feature article needs to be changed as well as stated by my peers, as it seems too dark for the overall theme; I will Change the background to white and make the font black while also increasing it in size, possibly by 2 points. The main issues were with my Title page, which lacked a selling line and contained many errors as well as poorly photoshopped image will eventually be fixed when I find the proper picture that I am looking for, a selling line will be added as well as more color and a more clear understanding of which title is that of my magazine and which belongs to the feature article. My name needs to be removed from the title page and a month and year needs to be added as well.

Post Production 2: Focus of Your Editing                The final page of my magazine was liked by the class, but definitely required some separation of text due too the unique design of the page itself. I had added black lines to the final page to make it more clear to readers which text belongs to which picture, I have also resized the font on the page to make it easier to read. While making some further observations of my magazine I have also slightly touched up the front page once more by covering up any photoshop artifacts that made the cover page photo look bad or too unprofessional. While I have done all that I believe is necessary to make my magazine a decent product, I am still disappointed that I was unable to find the phone that I wanted to replace the cover page photo. I have done the most with what I had and believe I have created a good product.

Magazine Cover Review

  MAGAZINE COVER REVIEW:             The magazines that had been shown in the interactive lecture during this latest week in class were normally passed during most of my life. I had never put much thought in to how much detail and symbolism goes in to making a magazine attractive to the eye and the mind. When magazines are positioned at the checkout lines in supermarkets, I would usually think about who was still reading magazines when the internet is so easily available. With the knowledge I know now however, it is obvious to see appreciation and enjoyment some individuals get from magazines.             Perhaps my stigma about magazines did derive from a belief that people would not be able to pay attention enough to a magazine to read an article all the way through. Final Draft: Retro Review - The Return of The King?

  I have worked to create this final product upon which you now have the pleasure of viewing. Countless hours of software creativity and experimentation have resulted in what now appears before you. From the elaborate cover page to the ingenious main article, allow yourself to be transported to the past which you may or may not have experienced for yourself, and hope to relive or experience that which has so clearly been passionately recreated. May you who reads this message, and anyone else who decides to bestow themselves upon the fruits of my labor find my work as wonderous and phenomenal as I have through my own countless readings and corrections.
