BLOG 4: PHOTOS AND FEATURE ARTICLE

BLOG 4: PHOTOS AND FEATURE ARTICLE             In the past week in class I have been focusing on creating my feature article. BLOG 3: MAGAZINE DESIGNS COMPLETE/WHAT I LEARNED ABOUT INDESIGN

BLOG 3: MAGAZINE DESIGNS COMPLETE/WHAT I LEARNED ABOUT INDESIGN             I have completed the initial design of the 4 pages for my magazine portfolio project. InDesign has shown to have many more features than I first believed and have been using the software help tool to ask questions and make changes as required. My favorite tool in InDesign is perhaps the shape editor, which allows me to create custom shapes by using the mouse to create unique dimensions. The effects tool has also shown to be quite useful in making the magazine look better than it could have been, allowing for more detail. Image boxes and layouts have been created so that when I acquire photos, I will simply have to place them in the boxes. My feature article will begin initial stages of creation soon, as I have been unable to focus on it while I was designing my magazine. I still expect my images to come last.
