Feature Article:  

Bringing Old Designs to a Modern World- 

The article will mainly be about discussing the “Brick” cell phone from the 1980’s being recreated by some companies with modern features such as Bluetooth, further detail on the history of the cell phone from the 80’s will be included and will be a major portion of the article and the item will be reviewed as per the name of the magazine. A brief discussion on other retro technologies that are being recreated today with modern features. 

 

 

Content Page Styling/article title ideas:

I want the content page to look similar to an old phone book, with some sort of stenciled design to mimic the logo of the yellow pages from the era. The actual yellow color will also be present and direct follow the front page on the back, it will be an interesting contrast between what is planned to be a darker background to a bright yellow color scheme.

Post Production 2: Focus of Your Editing                The final page of my magazine was liked by the class, but definitely required some separation of text due too the unique design of the page itself. I had added black lines to the final page to make it more clear to readers which text belongs to which picture, I have also resized the font on the page to make it easier to read. While making some further observations of my magazine I have also slightly touched up the front page once more by covering up any photoshop artifacts that made the cover page photo look bad or too unprofessional. While I have done all that I believe is necessary to make my magazine a decent product, I am still disappointed that I was unable to find the phone that I wanted to replace the cover page photo. I have done the most with what I had and believe I have created a good product.

  MAGAZINE COVER REVIEW:             The magazines that had been shown in the interactive lecture during this latest week in class were normally passed during most of my life. I had never put much thought in to how much detail and symbolism goes in to making a magazine attractive to the eye and the mind. When magazines are positioned at the checkout lines in supermarkets, I would usually think about who was still reading magazines when the internet is so easily available. Final Draft: Retro Review - The Return of The King?

  I have worked to create this final product upon which you now have the pleasure of viewing. Countless hours of software creativity and experimentation have resulted in what now appears before you. From the elaborate cover page to the ingenious main article, allow yourself to be transported to the past which you may or may not have experienced for yourself, and hope to relive or experience that which has so clearly been passionately recreated. May you who reads this message, and anyone else who decides to bestow themselves upon the fruits of my labor find my work as wonderous and phenomenal as I have through my own countless readings and corrections. And, if you so happen to find there to be any flaw upon this blessed work, make your constructive criticism heard for all to hear, so that they may observe my effort to correct that product which I have so foolishly failed to deliver in my mission to create a perfect work.
